Harty Feels Silent Majority Of Voters Will Decide Ireland’s Future Abortion Laws

Campaigning is due to get underway today ahead of the abortion referendum.

The government has set a date of May 25th for the vote on whether to repeal the Eighth Amendment.

The Seanad approved the referendum bill last evening allowing the vote to go ahead, while both the Pro Life and Pro Choice sides have called for a fair and reasoned debate between now and the polling day.
