Clare’s Independent TD claims there are huge issues coming down the line for healthcare in West Clare.
It’s after the HSE shot down a request from local councillors to put a primary care centre in place in Kilrush, to serve communities there.
Four such centres are currently being planned here – two in Ennis and one each in Sixmilebridge and Ennistymon – but concern is being expressed that the west of the county will fall by the wayside.
