It comes as Clare's Independent TD has cast doubt over a Fine Gael led minority government lasting for three budgets.

The Dáil is attempting to tackle regular business – despite the fact that TDs still haven't agreed on a new Government.

There's no vote for Taoiseach scheduled on today's Dáil business and Enda Kenny has confirmed that won't happen until talks with Fianna Fáil have concluded.

While, Independents have said they can't agree to support a minority Government led by Fine Gael until they're made aware of the details of a deal between the two largest parties.

The Dáil isn't due to return again until next Wednesday and speaking in the chamber, Enda Kenny says a vote will be arranged as soon as deals are done:

Clare's Independent TD admits he's now less optimistic that a Fine Gael led minority Government will last for three budgets following the deal made on water charges.

Deputy Michael Harty has described the compromise as a "fudge" and says both parties need to realise that they need to cooperate rather than obstruct.

Meanwhile, Clare's Former Labour TD has described the new deal on water charges as a "farce".

Michael McNamara fears the compromise will result in funds being diverted from other areas badly in need of funding.

And he says those who paid their bills are now being made fools of.
