Government Urged To Make Homeless People A Priority During Roll-Out Of Covid Vaccine

The government’s being urged to make homeless people a priority in the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine next year.

The latest figures from the Department of Housing show the number of homeless people in Clare remained at 70 in November, representing a 10% drop, when compared to the same period in 2019.

Clare County Council’s management report, which registers 67 people as being without a home here, states that 16 people are staying in Westbrook House in Ennis, with a further 25 spread between Laurel Lodge and Ashford, also located in the town.
