Gold For Ennis And Kilrush In Tidy Towns Awards

Ennis and Kilrush have both won Gold Medals in this year’s Tidy Towns Awards.

However, hopes that the county town could take the overall title have been dashed, as Listowel in Co. Kerry has been named as Ireland’s Tidiest Town at a ceremony in Dublin this lunchtime.

Ennis won the county title, ahead of Kilrush, with Mountshannon coming in third.
