Gardaí Warn Of Dangers On The Roads As Silage Season Approaches

Gardaí in Clare are urging anyone out exercising on the roads for the rest of the bank holiday weekend to take extra care.

With increased numbers taking up walking or running for their daily exercise during the pandemic, Gardaí are advising that high viz clothing should be worn at all times, particularly at night.

It echos calls for caution from both the RSA and IFA over road safety, in light of increased farm machinery on the roads as we head into silage season.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks, urges people to also keep to the public health guidelines.
