Gardaí Urge Caution After Clare Ice Warning

Gardaí around the county are advising motorists to drive with care today, as ice warnings remain in place over the next 24 hours.

Met Eireann have issued two seperate status yellow snow-ice warnings.

Until 2pm this afternoon it’s in place for Clare, Limerick, Galway, Cork, Kerry, and Tipperary.

From 3pm today until 3am tomorrow morning the second warning affects Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

A widespread severe frost overnight has led to icy conditions in many parts of Clare and some snow showers are expected in places.

Gardai say a thaw is underway, but they’re urging all road users to exercise care.
