Gardaí Reassure Public That Shannon Town Is A Safe Place To Live

Gardaí are reassuring that Shannon town is a safe place to live, despite videos of a violent incident circulating on social media which has led to panic in some quarters.

Footage of a fight night brawl in the Oakwood Arms Hotel on Saturday night, which resulted in one person being hospitalised, has been viewed thousands of times online.

Gardaí are appealing to those present who have mobile phone footage of that incident to make themselves known to them, as they continue their investigation.
