A man arrested in connection with a fatal road crash in East Clare has had his period of detention extended.
One man in his early 20s lost his life and four others were seriously injured in the collision at Cloonfadda, Killaloe on Tuesday of last week.
Gardaí arrested a man in his 20s in connection with dangerous driving causing death yesterday morning in the Limerick area.
He’s being detained at Killaloe Garda Station, where he’s being questioned under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
His period of detention has been extended for a further six hours.
