Gardaí Issue Warnings Following Scams In Shannon & Sixmilebridge

Gardaí have issued a fresh warning not to give out your credit card details to unknown sources, after a number of Clare people were targeted in a series of scams.

It’s understood a person in the Sixmilebridge area lost a substantial sum of money after their computer crashed – a message appeared on-screen urging them to contact a number in the US to fix the problem.

Separately, an ad running on social media is offering a 50% discount to people paying their motor tax online, which says that the money will be paid directly into your bank account once you have over your reg and unique pin.
