Gardaí Highlight Power Tools Thefts

Clare Gardaí are appealing to the public not to buy power tools from unofficial sources.

It follows two thefts in the county over the past fortnight, during which a number of high value tools were stolen.

A container on a building site in Dromoland was broken into sometime between Saturday April 22nd and the following Monday, with seven items taken.

While, over the same weekend two vans parked on Main Street in Mountshannon were targetted with 11 power tools in total taken.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Joe Downey says these items could be being sold at a reduced rate online or at car boot sales and he’s urging people to report such activity.
