Gardaí Continue To Appeal For Information Into Shannon Stabbing

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to the public for their assistance as they investigate the violent death of a man in Shannon this weekend.

23 year old Jamie Higgins from Dooradoyle in Limerick died after he sustained stab wounds in an altercation at the Shannon Knights Night Club at around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.

A second man, aged 22, was also injured in the incident – he sustained what Gardaí have described as non-life threatening injuries.

A 19 year old man was arrested and questioned by Shannon Gardaí in relation to the incident, but has since been released without charge.
