4 May, 2012 - 07:42
Gardaí are calling on motorists to be mindful of driving conditions over the Bank Holiday weekend.
58 people have died on Irish roads so far this year - and with the roads expected to be busy over the weekend - Gardaí say drivers must drive slowly and wear a seatbelt at all times.
With wet weather conditions expected over the weekend - the Road Safety Authority says drivers must take necessary precautions.
