The Garda Commissioner says she would have liked to see a tactical training centre ready by now, but has admitted it is delayed until June.
The new national firearms command, announced last December, will also provide strategic and operational training for Gardaí.
GRA delegates yesterday called for counter-terrorism training, saying frontline Gardaí were wholly unprepared for a terrorist attack.
