Clare Gardaí are urging those taking to the roads this Bank Holiday weekend to exercise extreme caution.
Extra checkpoints are being put in place across the county from today, as the traditional exodus begins for the long weekend.
The June Bank Holiday in particular is said to be one of the busiest, as schools break up for the summer.
