An investigation is underway after a man reportedly shot himself in Dublin last night – following a Garda pursuit.
The incident happened at a garage on the N81 near Templeogue in the south of the city – shortly after midnight.

Gardaí investigating an allegation that a woman was being held against her will were observing a car being driven by a man – believed to be armed.
The driver lost control of the car crashing into the Spawell Roundabout, and it's understood he then got out of the car and shot himself.
He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he is said to be in a critical condition – the Garda Ombudsman is investigating.
