A Garda investigation has been launched after shots were fired at a house in Clarecastle.
At around 10.30pm on Friday last, the occupants of a house in Clarehill thought they heard fireworks being discharged, but afterwards discovered bullet holes in the wall and shell casings on the ground.
A car, which was seen leaving the area immediately after the incident, was later found burnt out between Clarecastle and Dromoland at Manusmore.

Gardaí in Ennis are investigating and are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact them on 065 68 48 100.
