Further court appearance over petrol station assault

A 17 year old youth will appear in court today charged in connection with a serious assault on a 16 year old boy in South East Clare last month.

The teenager, who can't be named for legal reasons, is charged with assault causing serious harm to the boy at a petrol station in Shannon Banks on July 23rd.

He was under a voluntary temporary care order of the HSE at the time.

The youth has already appeared before the Children's Court in Limerick in connection with the incident but was refused bail and was remanded to St Patrick's Institution until today.
