Funding Sought To Improve Safety Measures On Ballybeg Road

Funding is being sought for safety measures on a major road in Ennis after a woman became seriously injured while out walking.

The woman fell on the Ballybeg road in recent weeks and will now have to have a hip replacement.

The route was resurfaced in 2015 and is not included in this year’s roadworks programme, but on the back of concerns raised by local councillors, a cost analysis of installing a footpath will now be carried out.
