Funding Boost For Clare Businesses

Eighteen Clare businesses have benefited from a government-funded lending scheme that aims to sustain jobs here.

The firms in question have been lent 242,000 euro by Microfinance Ireland last year, according to figures released by the group itself.

The loans range from 2,000 to 25,000 euro and around two-thirds of approved applications went to start-ups.
