Authorities have now largely dealt with substantial fuel spill between Ennis and Shannon this afternoon.
The fuel spill was centred around Shannon Town centre, and much of the M18 motorway between both towns.
The operation to treat the roads in question has now largely finished, but Gardaí are urging continuing caution on both sides of the motorway, and in and around Shannon.
