Fresh Legal Challenges May Lead To “Minor Delays” For Killaloe Bypass

It’s claimed fresh legal challenges to long-awaited Killaloe bypass may lead to delays in getting the ball rolling with the project but it’s hoped they will be minor.

It’s now over eight years since plans were first announced for the bypass, with Clare County Council’s latest report indicating that it will be ready to go to tender by summer 2020 and it’s expected to be completed by 2023.

However, supreme court challenges from a small number of individuals is threatening the timeline for the completion of the €62 million infrastructure.
