Fresh Concern Over Blake’s Corner Traffic Following Latest Standstill

Fresh concern is being expressed over traffic issues at Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon, as we head into one of the busiest weekends in the calendar.

It comes after traffic there was left at a standstill for three hours yesterday, when a truck carrying rock in the direction of Lahinch became wedged at the notorious blackspot.

There were massive tailbacks in the direction of both Lahinch and Ennis, while emergency services worked to keep traffic moving and free the vehicle.
