Fresh Calls For Upgrade Of Ennis General Hospital In Wake Of COVID Pandemic

Fresh calls are being made for Ennis General to be upgraded to a model three hospital, to alleviate pressure on University Hospital Limerick.

Sinn Féin Councillor Donna McGettigan is putting forward a motion at this afternoon’s County Council meeting for the local authority to call upon the Health Minister to upgrade the facility as a priority.

The last government, as well as the UL Hospitals Group, have previously ruled out such a move.
