Fresh Calls For Airport Testing As Alternative To Mandatory Hotel Quarantine

Clare’s Independent TD has made a fresh call for testing at airports to be considered as an alternative to mandatory hotel quarantine.

Cabinet will discuss the possibility of adding EU countries to the list next week, amid disagreements from different departments on whether countries such as Germany, Italy and France should be added, as well as the US.

Currently, passengers travelling from 58 countries will have to quarantine in a hotel upon arrival into Ireland.
