Robert Sheehan was attending his brothers wedding at the Bunratty Castle Hotel on September 2nd, 2012.

At around twenty to four that day, two men drove into the car park and shot him a number of times.

The 21-year-old died from his injuries in hospital the following day and a murder investigation was launched.

Gardaí and Crimestoppers have now launched a fresh appeal and are asking for people who know anything of relevance to the case to contact them.

They say even the smallest piece of information, which may seem insignificant, could help close this case and bring justice to the family.

Anyone with information can call Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25. Calls are anonymous and callers can claim a reward for any information which significantly helps the investigation.

Detective Sergeant Kevin O’Hagan has been speaking with Fiona Cahill on Clare FM’s main lunchtime news.

He believes there are people out there who may have been afraid to come forward at the time, that could help now.
