French Presidential Candidates Face Off In Final TV Battle

In France, the two remaining presidential candidates faced each other in the final debate of the election last night.

Up to 47 million French voters will take to the polls on Sunday.

Last night’s debate saw both sides trading insults with Marine Le Pen calling Emmanuel Macron a smirking, arrogant banker who did little for French workers during his tenure at economy minister.

Macron ended one of his exchanges by telling Marine Le Pen that French voters deserve better.

A snap poll after the TV debate watched by around 20 million people revealed Macron as the winner in a race that although is not as tight as once expected is still not over.
