Councillor Gerry Flynn has been elected as the new Cathaoirleach of the Shannon Municipal District.
The Independent Councillor replaces Sinn Féin’s Mike McKee in the role, following this week’s AGM.
Newmarket on Fergus Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat McMahon takes up the role of Leas Cathaoirleach.
