First Round of COVID Vaccines To Be Completed In MidWest Nursing Homes

The first round of COVID vaccinations in nursing homes throughout the MidWest is scheduled to be completed today.

In an update to local political representatives, HSE MidWest says it will complete the first series vaccination visits in forty nursing homes throughout the region today.

As of late last week, nearly 3,200 doses of the vaccine had been administered to staff and residents, in an allocation that is seperate to that being rolled out in hospitals.

Vaccines are being administered at the HSE run facilities in Ennis, Ennistymon, Tuamgraney and Kilrush, as well as at private facilities in Ennis, Kilrush, Newmarket on Fergus, Killaloe, Ardnacrusha, Cratloe and Liscannor.
