Fianna Fail Leader Says Vote-Gate Hasn’t Ruled Dooley Out Of Cabinet Seat

The Fianna Fáil leader says he stands by his decision to relegate Timmy Dooley from the party’s front bench.

Deputy Dooley and Limerick TD Niall Collins were demoted last Novemeber, after it emerged that Deputy Collins had voted six times in the Dáíl for his party colleague.

A review carried out by the Dáil Clerk recommended no disciplinary action, and ethics inquiries by the Dáil Members Interests Committee have now collapsed with the dissolution of the 32nd Dáil.
