Female Thief Given Nine Months In Jail

A female thief has been sentenced to nine months in jail for a burglary at the home of Clare All-Ireland winning captain Anthony Daly.

Mr. Daly and two of his daughters were in their home at Tullycrine around 10pm on October 5th last, when 30-year-old Stacey Massey and a male accomplice entered utility room and kitchen of Anthony Daly’s home.

Gardaí were alerted, and Ms. Massey of McGarry House, Alphonsus Street, Limerick and her accomplice were apprehended by Gardai in scrub area near the home.

Judge Patrick Durcan has sentenced Stacey Massey to 14 months in total for the two offences of burglary and abandoning a crashed car at Lisseycasey earlier that evening – he suspended the final three months.
