EU-US Trade Deal Means Shannon Estuary Gas Terminal ‘Much More Likely’

An Ireland South MEP says a new gas terminal in the Shannon Estuary is now much more likely thanks to this week’s trade deal between the EU and America.

The deal between President Donald Trump and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker is an agreement to discuss reducing tariffs and other barriers to trade.

President Juncker also gave a specific commitment that the EU would build more liquefied natural gas terminals to import and store natural gas from the US.
