EPA Praises Work To Improve Clare Drinking Water

The Environmental Protection Agency has commended work carried out to improve drinking water quality in Clare.

It’s report for 2016 shows that drinking water supplies in the county are good, with 100% of tests carried out on passing the microbiological standards, and 99.9% of tests meeting chemical standards.

Three water supplies – Carron, Kilkeedy and Turlough Public Water Scheme have been listed as being among 25 nationally which have inadequate treatment – between them they serve 554 people.
