An Ennis woman is preparing to represent her county and country on an international stage, as she gears up for the Special Olympic World Games.

22-year-old Emma Barrett has been swimming since she was a baby and taking part in competitions for over six years – she has already been crowned national champion and now has her sights set on world

A fundraising quiz for Special Olympics Ireland is being held in Hotel Woodstock in Ennis this Friday, to help fund the athletes’ trip to the UAE next month.
