Ennis Traders Staging Protest Against Pedestrianisation Measures

A group of Ennis traders are to stage a protest against the town’s controversial pedestrianisation measures.

Clare County Council’s executive have already committed to a review of the current mobility plan, which is expected to be completed by the end of this month.

Current pedestrianisation measures were introduced on an emergency basis in response to the onset of COVID-19, but traders say they’re losing out financially as a result.

A number of them will march from the the town’s centre to the Council’s offices tomorrow, inlcuding John O Connor from Custy’s Music Shop who says he and other traders want more of a say in the policies.
