Ennis to go green for St Patrick’s day?

Ennis could literally go green for next year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Ennis Town Council is examining the possibility of turning the River Fergus green with a non toxic dye, used to trace watercourses, while civic buildings in the county town are also set to be lit in the traditional colour.

Next year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations promise to be a lively affair in the town, with a delegation from Phoenix, Arizona set to travel to Clare for the annual parade and a host of other events.
