The findings of an investigation into issues at a Clare Waste Water Treatment Plant, which has caused distress for local residents, is due to be issued next week.

Clare’s Junior Minister Pat Breen made a representation to the water utility, after residents in French Court outlined the distress caused to them by noises emanating from the Clonroadmore plant in Ennis.

Irish Water has said that modifications were made to air blowers on the site last August, as part of energy conservation measures, and while the works helped to save energy, it also resulted in noise issues.

These modifications have since been reversed, but despite this, the noise problems persisted, resulting in the need for a specialist company to carry out a Noise Control Assessment – the results of which will be made known next week.
