The Road Safety Authority aims to have the Ennis NCT centre open by the end of the month.
This week saw the reopening of 15 NCT centres, including Galway and Limerick, as part of a phased plan of reopening all centres.
However, the Ennis centre has yet to re-open and there’s no date on when testing will resume there, even though some Clare motorists have appointments there for the coming months.

The RSA says they endeavour to have it back up and running as soon as possible, and Communications Manager Brian Farrell says that the largest centres had to be prioritised first.
