Ennis Haulier Predicts Trade Mayhem When Restrictions Eased Due To Brexit

The Clare-based President of the Irish Road Hauliage Association is warning of “mayhem” when restrictions are eased if the Government doesn’t urgently address trade disruption off the back of Brexit.

Hauliers are currently facing in excess of 8 new check or customs requirements since January 1st and some have begun transporting goods destined for the republic into Northern Ireland, to avoid delays coming from mainland Britain.

The IRHA Is warning that unless the issues are addressed now, there will be carnage when trade volumes increase.
