Ennis Goats Re-Homed In Louth

The Rocky Road goats of Ennis have been re-homed.

The herd of wild goats made national news over the past few weeks as they ventured out of their traditional Rocky Road base and began roaming around the Kilrush Road and Cahercalla areas.

Residents in the area raised concerns over damage to gardens and road safety over the past few months and the Council began efforts to source a new home for the herd.

A farmer in Louth has agreed to take the herd in it’s entirety, and they were rounded up last night and are currently being transported to his land in County Louth.
