Ennis Flood Relief Scheme Costs Jump By €1 Million

The Minister of State in charge of the OPW, Kevin ‘Boxer Moran’, will turn the sod to mark the official commencement of works on the Ennis South Flood Relief Scheme later this morning.

The project is designed to protect over 120 homes and businesses from flooding, with works set to last over two years.

The project had to be re-tendered, after contractual issues were identified with the original tender owing to a ruling that saw its project labour costs increase.
