The ESB has failed to give Clare’s Oireachtas members any clarity on the future of jobs at Moneypoint Power Station.
It emerged earlier this week that around 100 jobs are on the line at the plant near Kilrush, which means around 50% of the workforce being cut in just six months.
ESB officials met with Clare’s TDs and Senator this afternoon as uncertainty continues to surround the plans for the station post 2025, when coal burning will cease there.
