Climate Activists Express Unhappiness With Council’s Climate Plan

Clare County Council has adopted a Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, but the plan has been criticised by some activists in this area.

The strategy proposes that climate action policy becomes an integral consideration for all aspects of the Council, as well as measures including risk assessments of infrastructure, the promotion of Clare as a low carbon county, and improved transport infrastructure.

However, critics say it hasn’t taken enough on board from a public consultation phase and that it is lacking in detail.
