Clare Students Mount Fresh Climate Change Protest

Secondary school students across Clare will be out in force today, as they mount a fresh protest calling for urgent climate action to be taken.

They’re among thousands of students across the country taking part today in the global Fridays for Future phenomenon, which was started by Swedish student Greta Thunberg.

This is the first school strike of the new school term and the pupils will also hold a “street classroom”, where they aim to educate Clare’s politicians about the impact of climate change.
