Clare motorists appear to getting more environmentally conscious.
New figures show that while there has been a 26% drop in the number of new diesel cars and a 10% fall in the number of new petrol cars sold here, sales have increased for petrol electric, fully-electric and plug-in electric hybrid models.
Their numbers still remain small, however, accounting for just over 8% of the market.
