The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is continuing to rise.

The latest INMO figures show that 61 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those in the emergency department.

The overal figure is 11 more than the same time yesterday and means the Dooradoyle facility is one of the busiest in the country once again today.
