Investigation Underway Following Discovery Of Body In Ennis

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman, who’s body was discovered in Ennis this morning.

Emergency services were alerted at around 6am, after the body of the woman, who’s believed to be aged in her 40’s, was discovered by passers by, in the River Walk area of the town.

The State Pathologist has been notified and the body of the woman has since been transferred to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem examination.
