High Fire Risk Warning For Clare

A High Fire Risk warning has been announced for Clare by the Department of Agriculture.

The warning has been issued for all areas in the county where hazardous fuels such as gorse, heather, dried grasses and other dead vegetation exist.

The risk is highest in the westernmost reaches of the country with extremely low humidity levels expected in the coming days, which will be exacerbated by temperatures soaring to the low 20s.
