The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has been called to three incidents in Clare so far this year.
New figures, released to the Dáil, show only five counties have a higher amount of callouts, namely Dublin, Cork, Roscommon and Wicklow.
This year, the unit has been called to incidents including the discovery of a viable historic hand grenade in a shed in Lahinch, while late last year the unit conducted a controlled explosion on two objects discovered at a recycling plant in Shannon.
