Ennis Chamber is to launch a cross-party committee with a view to rejuvenating Clare’s towns and villages, once the country’s new government is in place.

The business representative group is calling on the four successful candidates in the General Election to come on board with the plans, when they take up their seats in Dáil Éireann.

The impact of online shopping and the changing nature of the retail sector have been cited as the main reasons for setting up such a committee.
